AN ANDOVER road was briefly flooded following a weekend of heavy rain.
Walworth Road in Andover was flooded on Monday, October 24 due to heavy continuous rainfall.
The water level rose high enough that curbs on either side of the road were no longer visible, with a car broken down by the side of the road because of the water.
The road was closed by Test Valley Police, with police signs erected in an effort to reduce the effects of the flood.

Speaking after the road had been reopened, Hampshire County Council executive member for highways operations Cllr Nick Adams-King said: “The weather this weekend was extreme at times with a number of very heavy sudden downpours.
“In this case, the police took the action they deemed necessary to ensure public safety.
“A highways engineer has checked the site and we can confirm the road is clear of flooding and is now open.”
