HUNDREDS of pounds have been donated to Hampshire Search and Rescue by The Hampshire Whitchurch Women’s Institute group (WI).
At an informal lunch at the White Hart in Whitchurch on October 25, Whitchurch WI members presented a cheque for £500 to Tony Privett from Hampshire Search and Rescue, one of the three charities this local WI is supporting in 2022 with funds raised earlier in the year in the Rotations charity shop in the town
The Hampshire Whitchurch Women’s Institute is a friendly, mixed-age group of ladies who usually come together on the third Thursday of every month.

They get together to socialise with old friends and make new friends, take part in activities, and learn about interesting topics. Meetings vary from speakers on subjects that interest the group, to craft activities and social evenings.
They are also involved in the local community through volunteering and fundraising and joining together with other local organisations.
