DRIVERS are set to face a long diversion as works to replace safety barriers along the A34 begin next week.
National Highways are replacing parts of the metal safety barrier along the A34 near Whitchurch.
To allow for the work to be carried out temporary lane closures, narrow lanes and a full closure along this stretch will be put in place.
From Monday, November 7 to Saturday, November 12 the A34 will be down to one lane approaching Whitchurch between 9pm and 6am.
A small section of the B3400 will be closed for two nights where it crosses under the A34 between 9pm and 6am on Tuesday, November 15 and Wednesday, November 16. A signed diversion will be in place via B3048, Harroway and Newbury Road.
