THOUSANDS of pounds were raised by an art show for Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover hospitals thanks to generous sponsorship.
Hampshire Art Show took place from November 11 to 14, near Winchester, to showcase local talent while raising money for Hampshire Medical Fund.
The show, in West Stoke Farm Barn based in South Wonston, raised more than £70,000 which has gone towards a new system for women's health to treat those suffering with difficult gynaecological conditions.
Additionally, funding will go towards another Bronchoscope for the respiratory departments in Winchester and Basingstoke hospitals to improve care for lung cancer patients.
As lead sponsor, investment service JM Finn hosted a private reception at its Winchester branch on November 12 where visitors could learn more about the medical charity.
Head of JM Finn’s Winchester office, Simon Tufnell, said: “We were delighted to sponsor the Hampshire Medical Art Show and help raise funds for medical equipment in the local area. It was also a great opportunity for our Winchester-based investment managers to engage with our existing client base whilst continuing our five-year association with the charity.”
