A REMEMBRANCE Sunday parade took place on November 13 to honour the service men and women of Great Britain.
As part of a morning of events, a parade allowed the public to pay their respects to those who served in battle and made the ultimate sacrifice.
Beginning at Bridge Street and heading towards Winchester Street, the parade headed onto Eastern Avenue, coming to St Mary’s Church for an indoor service led by Rev’d Chris Bradish.

Following the indoor service, a special outdoor service was held in the Garden of Remembrance, where dignitaries including the Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire, the Mayor of Test Valley, the president of the Andover branch of the Royal British Legion, representatives of the Freeman of the Borough of Test Valley, North West Hampshire MP and the Andover Town Mayor laid wreaths.
Children from local schools also laid posies of poppies.
MP for Northwest Hampshire Kit Malthouse said he was “honoured to be part of the service at St Mary’s Church for Remembrance Sunday”.
He continued: “An incredible turnout to thank our armed forces and commemorate those we have lost.
