AN AUTHOR from Whitchurch celebrates as the second edition of his book about Mary Queen of Scots is now available to buy.
Ian Douglas has always been fascinated by Mary's life since seeing the 1971 Mary Queen of Scots film starring Glenda Jackson and Vanessa Redgrave.
Since the publication of his first edition book, Ian has studied the period of Mary's life and photographed the sites associated with her life, which are included in his second edition book.
The book explores Mary's attempt to rule Scotland and her turbulent social life with being married three times by the age of 24 to the future King of France, her cousin Lord Darnley and finally the Earl of Bothwell.
