A MAN has threatened to stab a 14-year-old boy in Andover.
The incident occurred at 3.40pm on River Way Road in Andover on Tuesday, November 22.
According to Hampshire police, they were called at 3.48pm after the boy was approached by a male unknown to him.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “The male demanded the boy’s coat and threatened to stab him.
“The victim gave the male his coat and the male left the area. The victim was not injured and no knife was seen. The stolen coat was subsequently located.”
A witness to the incident warned parents and children to be vigilant and on their guard when out and about.
Police said officers are carrying out extensive enquiries including CCTV of the area.
