IT has been a busy year for police officers in Andover who have been working hard to keep the streets of the town safe and free of crime.
We have taken a look at some of the incidents that shocked residents in Andover the most this year.
1. Cannabis farm found inside the property
A man was arrested after police found more than 100 cannabis plants in a house in Andover.
Officers attended the house in Old Winton Road in the afternoon of Tuesday, January 4.
Inside, they found around 120 cannabis plants in various rooms, as well as ventilation and lighting equipment.
Petrit Kovaci was handed an eight-month sentence, suspended for two years on the condition that he commit no further crimes, after he pleaded guilty to producing a controlled drug of class B.
2. Two indecent exposure incidents happen in one week
A few months later residents in the town were shocked to hear about two incidents.
The first incident took place between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, March 27 on the footpath area close to Mill Lake, at the back of Rooksbury Road, Mead Hedges and Sainsbury Close.
A woman was sitting on a bench when a man approached her and exposed himself.
The second incident happened between 4.15pm and 5pm on Wednesday, March 30 on a footpath close to the crossing near Pets at Home in Enham Arch Retail Park.
An 11-year-old girl was walking home from school when a man approached her and exposed himself.
3. Man assaulted in town centre
A bit later on in the year in October residents were left in shock after a man, in his 20s, was attacked in the town centre on Bridge Steet, near the junction with the High Street.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Officers then launched an investigation and arrested five men.
The road was closed for some time.
4. Man stabbed in a quiet estate
Residents faced some knife crime news during the last part of the year when Hampshire police were called to an incident on Sunday, November 13 after a report of an assault in Vincent Drive.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called just after 6.20pm on Sunday 13 November to a report of an assault in Vincent Drive.
"A man in his 30s had suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged."
3. Women hit by an ambulance in town centre
In the same month, residents faced more breaking news following an accident that left a woman fighting for her life.
At around 10.51am on Thursday, November 10, a woman was struck by a reversing ambulance.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Those who witnessed the incident said that it left them shocked and worried for the woman.
One passer-by, who did not want to be named, said she saw the incident, with the ambulance reversing and hitting the pedestrian.
