A NEW card shop is set to open its doors in Andover town centre, filling a vacant unit previously home to a clothes store.
Cards Direct Retail Ltd has applied to Test Valley Borough Council to erect new signage on the former Topshop premises.
In March 2020, Topshop confirmed it would be closing its Andover store. At the time the Advertiser reached out to the shop, but it declined to comment further.
Now, Cards Direct wants to open in the town and has applied to put up an externally illuminated fascia sign, externally illuminated projecting sign and externally illuminated sign over entrance doors.
The company says on its website: “We are an independent retailer in the UK specialising in high quality greeting cards, gifts, gift packaging, balloons and partyware at direct from the factory prices.”
Cards Direct was established in 2012 and currently has 45 stores in high streets and shopping centres in the UK.
