ANDOVER drivers will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M27, from 8pm December 7, 2022, to 6am January 11, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 3 to junction 4, Lane closures for gantry inspection.

• M27, from 8pm November 30, 2022, to 6am January 13, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 4, Lane closures for barrier repairs.

• M3, from 9pm December 9, 2020, to 6am January 17, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.

• M27, from 8pm October 28, 2020, to 6am January 21, 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 4 and M3 both directions, junction 13, link road and lane closures for M3 concrete barrier scheme, diversion via National Highways network.

• A303, from 8pm November 9, 2022, to 6am January 24, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Barton Stacey to Overton, Lane closures for barrier work.

• A303, from 8pm November 14, 2022, to 6am January 28, 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington to Litchfield, carriageway closure for barrier upgrades, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• A34, from 8pm November 14, 2022, to 6am January 28, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Whitchurch, Narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit in place for barrier upgrades.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A303, from 8pm January 9 to 6am January 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Thurxton, slip road and lane closures for signage repairs, diversion via National Highways network.

• M27, from 9am January 16 to 4pm January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Daytime hard shoulder closure for vegetation clearance.

• A303, from 8pm January 18 to 6am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Parkhouse, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
