A HAIR salon in Andover is set to move into larger premises, despite struggling to survive throughout the Covid pandemic.
After 20 years of experience working in top salons across the UK, Vanessa Cleary opened her first Salon 73 by herself in Andover in 2013.
Now, after ten years of running her business and expanding her team, Vanessa is taking the next step and moving her Salon 73 on March 1 to a different location at Units one to three, at the fairground in Weyhill.
Like many hair salons, after having to close for more than one year due to the Covid pandemic, Salon 73 struggled to bounce back after the toll it had taken on business.

But with the business now flourishing and the cost of everything increasing, Vanessa decided it was the right time for herself and her customers to have a makeover.
She said: "I have always loved our current location, but I am really excited to move! It has been a lot to take on, but we wanted to offer a whole new experience for our customers with a new look, branding and shop.
"It feels amazing to be doing this, I am very proud of everyone in here and the staff. It's been a really hard time the past two year years getting through Covid like it has been for a lot of hair salons, but we pulled through and business is doing really well.
"We’re really excited to open this whole new experience, and a lot of nerves as well because it’s the start of something new."

After opening at its new location, Salon 73 will change to appointment-only, not including its private barber service, which will still offer walk-ins.
Ahead of their move, Vanessa's team of 15 hair colour and stylist professionals have been informing all their customers of the upcoming change and have received really positive feedback in return.
The salon is currently located at Unit 41 along Caxton Close until they move.
