A34 closed in both directions following collision

A34 near Newbury between A343 and A303 is closed due to a crash on the southbound stretch near Skinners Green.

Road closures are in place on both the southbound and northbound carriageways, and the public are urged to avoid the area at this time. 

According to traffic websites, the time to clear the vehicles is given as 12.30pm to 12.45pm.

There are diversions in place. For northbound, take the A303 westbound towards Andover, A3093 and A343 to the A34 Wash Common.

For southbound, take the same route in reverse.

We have contacted the Hampshire Constabulary for more information about the collision.
