A MAN from Andover who was caught drink driving has been banned from getting behind the wheel.
Daniel Grant, of Calder Court, drove a vehicle on Saxon Way in Andover with 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on December 26 last year. The legal limit is 35.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, the 37-year-old pleaded guilty to the drink driving offence.
Magistrates ordered Grant to pay a fine of £120 and banned him from getting behind the wheel for a total of 18 months.
On top of this, Grant was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £48 by magistrates.
A WOMAN from Andover who stole a number of beauty items including fake tan from a shop has been fined.
Ella Dingwall, of Camelot Close, stole St Tropez fake tan, Boss perfumes, Femfresh and deodorants to the value of £225.50 from the Boots store in Andover.
The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
During the hearing, magistrates ordered Dingwall to pay a compensation fee of £255.50.
AN ANDOVER man who stole alcohol from a supermarket has been fined hundreds of pounds.
Jon Ball, of Weyhill Road, on September 6 last year, stole six bottles of alcohol to the value of £218 from Sainsbury's in Andover.
The 42-year-old also stole five bottles of alcohol, on November 28 last year, to the value of £261 from Sainsbury's.
On top of this Ball stole three more bottles in the same month and seven more on December 4, all also from the Sainbury's store.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, Ball pleaded guilty to the offences. He has been ordered to pay compensation costs totalling more than £700.
MAGISTRATES have handed out penalty points to an Andover driver with no insurance or license.
Gesmir Dauti, of High Street in Andover, drove a Volkswagen Gold on London Road with no insurance on September 17, 2021. He also had no driving licence.
The 20-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences at Aldershot Magistrates' Court. Magistrates gave Dauti six penalty points and fined them £160.
On top of this, they were also ordered to pay a surcharge fee of £34.
