THE county council has released information regarding planned maintenance work on a roundabout in Andover, which will start on Tuesday, February 28.

The work is part of ‘Operation Resilience’ – Hampshire County Council’s long-term strategy to make Hampshire's roads more resilient to the effect of extreme weather and heavy traffic. Under the Operation Resilience programme, the County Council’s large planned maintenance programme of work is carried out each year.

The maintenance work is due to take place on Walworth Roundabout and Walworth Road (A3093 Churchill Way).

During the overnight works, Walworth Roundabout on Walworth Road (to the junction with River Way), A3093 Churchill Way (between Enham Arch Roundabout and Andover Down Roundabout) and London Road (from the junction with Vigo Road) will be closed to through traffic.

Updated information will be provided wherever possible. However, changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the site of the works.
