AN award-winning fish and chips business will be opening a takeaway in Andover.
While an official date has not been confirmed, Harlees hopes to welcome customers in Andover within the next six weeks.
The takeaway will reportedly replace the now-closed Vets 4 Pets on Weyhill Road.
Richard Long from Harlees, said: “We are really excited to be opening in Andover and bringing our award-winning fish and chips to the town. We have found a fantastic site with lots of parking and enough space to offer a casual dining experience, allowing our customers to enjoy quality fish and chips as fresh as possible. We aim to be open in May 2023.”
Plans were approved by Test Valley Borough Council in June 2022. Harlees was named the Best Multiple Operator of the Year at the National Fish and Chip Awards.
The takeaway in Andover will be Harlees' ninth location and the first in Hampshire.
Customers can look forward to traditional favourites including cod, haddock, and battered jumbo sausage when the doors finally open.
