ONE OF Andover's newest bars is celebrating it's success since opening as they prepare for more live music acts and events.

After being made redundant, owner Jason Wyatt followed his dreams and opened The ARK Bar - ARK standing for a random act of kindness.

Since first opening in December, the bar has received amazing feedback and most importantly for Jason, become recognised as another safe place to go to in town for all ages.

Jason said: "The business hasn't been without its challenges, but that's all a part of it - things are definitely going in the right direction.

"When you come up with an idea, you always hope it's going to work, but now when people say good things about it, it gives you a boost!

"I left school with very little qualifications and confidence, but I want to prove to people if you believe in something, even if you have depression or something that makes you ‘different’, don’t let that get you down."

Since starting The ARK Bar, Jason has been very open that he suffers with depression, and other members of the community have appreciated his transparency as a business owner.

The business owner has also been praised for making the "best pornstar martini in town" by customers.
