A WEEKLY lunch club in Test Valley which aims to provide residents with a warm and welcoming environment has been given a boost.
Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC), through its Cost of Living Grant Scheme, has awarded a grant of £1,000 to Chilbolton Village to support their warm hub lunch club.
The lunch club is open to all residents and provides an opportunity to socialise and connect with others in the community.
The event offers a healthy lunch and refreshments to those attending, and thanks to this grant from the council the activity is set to take place all throughout 2023.

Cllr David Drew explained that the council's Cost of Living Grant Scheme is aimed at helping initiatives that improve the quality of life of Test Valley residents.
He said: "Chilbolton Warm Hub Lunch Club is a great example of this, and we are proud to have supported its launch with a grant."
Cllr Drew has encouraged other community organisations to apply for a grant to help support their projects.
Cllr Tony Ewer, from Chilbolton Parish Council applied for the grant, he said: “It’s been wonderful to see the community come together and enjoy warm food, refreshments and an opportunity to socialise outside of their homes.
"We hope that this initiative will continue to grow and we look forward to welcoming residents to our next event. Thank you to TVBC for supporting our initiative.”
