AN ATTITUDE of Gratitude campaigner visited an Andover school to deliver an interactive presentation on sustainability and recycling to the students.

Manuela Wahnon, a sustainability advocate, visited Balksbury Federation Infant and Junior Schools in Floral Way, Salisbury Road, on Monday, March 20.

The presentation was well received, with the children showing great interest and attention to the important issues of reducing waste and preserving our environment.

During the presentation, Manuela engaged the students in a variety of hands-on activities and discussions and helped them understand the importance of recycling and the positive impact it can have on our planet.

The children were fascinated by the various examples of recycling and reusing that were presented to them, and eagerly participated in brainstorming new ideas for reducing waste in their own lives.

Deputy headteacher Fran Farrell said: “The children loved Manuela's visit and got so much out of the assembly.”

Test Valley Borough councillor Karen Hamilton, who also attended the presentation, said: “I was impressed with the attentiveness and enthusiasm of the children at Balksbury Federation.

“It’s clear that they are passionate about making a difference in their community and protecting our environment for future generations. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to participate in Manuela’s work with them and share my passion for sustainability.”

The presentation at Balksbury Federation is just one of many outreach efforts that Manuela has undertaken in the local community.
