A WOMAN who has been in pain and unable to eat for months says she is 'living a nightmare' after a stomach reduction surgery in Turkey went wrong.
Her family are now desperate to raise funds for another operation that could save her life.
After being bullied for many years about her weight, Elena Paun, finally made the decision and travelled to Turkey for a stomach reduction surgery on November 16, 2022. She was discharged six days later and returned back home to Andover.
Elena said felt sore but okay, until the following day when she started to experience nausea, fever and pain in her chest and shoulders.

The 26-year-old called 999 immediately and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors said that if she had waited any longer she could have died.
She remained in the hospital for 50 days and was only allowed liquid food.
Elena said: "I am living a nightmare, it all started because I wanted to feel better in my own skin and feel beautiful, and be thinner so people wouldn't make fun of me anymore. But now I just want to be able to live."
She has since had two more surgeries and hasn't been able to eat properly, sleep or move without being in pain.

Now, in a final attempt to save her life, she is having an urgent exploratory laparoscopy on Friday, March 31, in a private clinic in Romania, where she is originally from.
Elena's cousin, Georgina, has set up the GoFundMe page to help fund the surgery with a target of more than £13,000.
Elena said: "She just wanted to not feel complexed anymore about her
looks and be confident, even though she is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met.
"It doesn't matter how little people can give, any amount is a huge help. Myself and her family just want her to make it through this and be healthy."
