AN ANDOVER garden centre is hosting interactive workshops this Easter holiday to celebrate the season and educate customers on pollinators.

Dobbies will be holding the workshops at its store in Salisbury Road where experts will be giving advice on how to transform gardens into bee havens.

Designed for the whole family, the workshops are a great way to learn more about gardening and enhance your gardening expertise while keeping your children entertained.

The Little Seedlings Club which focuses on bees will take place at 10am on Wednesday, April 12 and Friday, April 14 and is aimed at four to 10-year-olds.

Andover Advertiser:

Chloë Bell, Dobbies' CSR communications executive, said: “Pollinators are vital in supporting the health of our natural ecosystem. Bees are currently under threat with the species facing extinction, so as a garden centre we’re constantly looking at educating the next generation so that in years to come, the world is a more pollinator-friendly place.

“We hope our workshops in Andover help families across the country play their part in supporting and protecting these vulnerable insects.”

A Grow How session will also be held on Saturday, May 6 at 10.30am where experts will outline the benefits of supporting wildlife in the garden.

There are also still spaces for the centre's Easter Bunny Breakfast on Saturday, April 8 and Monday, April 10 at 8.30am.

People can enjoy a tasty breakfast for the whole family before the little ones take part in some egg-cellent fun with the Easter bunny

They'll follow the bunny on a hunt around the store and enjoy some fun games.  Plus,  bunny and the team (both experts in all things carrots) will help them plant their very own miniature carrots to take home and grow in the garden.

Children's breakfasts cost £9.99 including activities, adults start at £7.45.
