A LOVING mother celebrated reaching the milestone age of 100 surrounded by her large family.
Maisie Spinks, who is a resident at Berehill House in Whitchurch, celebrated her birthday by first visiting family in Brighton. Following this several generations of her family visited her at the nursing home.
Maisie said the secret to getting to 100 is to have a large family. She had five children, the fifth child in her 40’s and lived in Andover for more than 20 years.
She has many wonderful memories and said she has seen and experienced a lot.

Maisie has had a wonderful, happy life and has been "very fortunate", she said. Her husband was in the army for 25 years, before becoming a postman in Andover for 20 years.
Maisie said she never worked as she had her hands full bringing up their family.
She is the quiz master at Berehill House and enjoys crosswords and puzzles.
