A DRIVER has been arrested on a Hampshire road after he tested positive for a Class B drug.
On Wednesday, April 19, at around 10am, officers spotted vehicle which appeared to be overweight on the A34 near to Sutton Scotney services.
The vehicle was escorted to the weighbridge, where it was found to be nearly half a tonne overweight.
The driver also provided a positive drugs wipe for cannabis at the roadside.
A 36-year-old from Nottingham was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
A police spokesperson said: "He has been released from police custody but remains under investigation while our enquiries continue.
"A prohibition notice was served on the vehicle and it was seized."
