On Saturday, April 29, and Saturday, May 27, Andover Bowls Club will be hosting open days in the hope of encouraging bowlers of all ages and abilities to take up the sport. This is sponsored by Bowls England and the Big Bowls Weekend, where clubs throughout the country will open their doors to new bowlers.
Both events will take place between 10am and 1pm.
A spokesperson for Andover Bowls Club said: "It’s a great sport. Andover Bowls club attracted a lot of new members after lockdown, of all ages, which is great. Our membership spans from 23-years-old, to a member still playing at 89, so it really is a sport for all ages.
