A COFFEE shop is set to begin hosting a monthly games night for customers.
Coffee#1, which has been based at 41-43 The Chantry Centre for over three years, used to host a regular Dungeons and Dragons night, but was forced to stop this because of the Covid pandemic.
Now the cafe has decided to re-launch games nights. The first session of the game night is due to take place on Sunday, May 7, from 5.30pm-8pm.
The event will take place on the first Sunday of every month. It is free to attend, with donations on the door going to Samaritans UK, the chosen charity of Coffee#1.

The games night will predominantly be for people wanting to play Dungeons and Dragons, although anyone wishing to play any tabletop games are welcome to attend.
In-house Dungeon Masters will be in attendance to help beginners and to run group sessions, but groups of adventurers can come and play in their own campaigns as well.
Shift leader, Katy Woolven, has been working at Coffee#1 for the past seven months and will be in charge of overseeing the games night.
She said: "Dungeons and Dragons is something I love and lots of others do too. It's great that we are able to give the community this opportunity to come to a safe space, be around like-minded people, and just play some games."
Katy added: "As many of us that work at Coffee#1 are avid Dungeons and Dragons players, we are excited to share it with the community, while also offering a safe space to chill and play any tabletop game they want - with the added bonus of amazing coffee!"

Coffee#1 doesn't have any other games in-house although game donations are welcome. People wanting to come and play other games will need to bring their own.
