A MOBILE beauty therapist who has been bringing beauty trends and techniques to her clients for 10 years has been named Beauty Therapist of the Year.

Stephanie Prowting, owner of Sculpted Beauty, has been crowned the winner of the Basingstoke Gazette and Andover Advertiser's joint competition. 

The 32-year-old from Andover said she was thrilled to win the award after being nominated by her clients, and then voted for by readers of the two newspapers to win. 

She said: "I am delighted to have been awarded Beauty Therapist of the Year. Thank you to everyone who supported and voted, it means the world to me. Sculpted Beauty has just celebrated a 10th birthday, so this is a great reason to celebrate."

She said what sets Sculpted Beauty apart from other beauty therapists is its completely mobile service.

She doesn't have a fixed base and instead brings everything with her, making it easier for clients who prefer to have treatments in the comfort of their own homes.

She also prides herself on being flexible with her working hours, accommodating clients who have other commitments or require specific times for childcare.

"If people need a specific time for childcare or they have other work commitments, I try and be quite flexible. And I fit in around family life," Steph said.

"I don't mind working around children or any other needs. I just try and make it salon quality from the comfort of their own home."

She keeps up with the latest beauty trends and techniques by constantly keeping her skills up to date and by following other beauticians and salons on social media to see what they offer and if she can do it better.

Steph has been a beauty therapist for 12 years, with the business itself being 10 years old.

She started by doing treatments for a friend's mother on a Sunday morning and slowly built her business through recommendations.

Today, Sculpted Beauty covers Basingstoke, Hook, Odiham, Andover, and Farnborough.
