AROUND 60 firefighters were called to a fire at two-storey home in Kimpton on Monday, May 9.
Crews from across Hampshire and Dorset were called to the property in Down Road at around 8pm after a caller reported the house was on fire.
Upon arrival firefighters found smoke coming from the roof which was well alight, and more crews were called.
Crews from Andover, Fordingbridge, Whitchurch, Winchester, Stockbridge and DWFRS tackled the fire with specialist foam before damping down using jets and hose reels.
A fire service spokesperson said: "The electrics were isolated but due to the unstable structure of the building there was no internal firefighting conducted.
"Ambulance were on the scene to treat several casualties including a number of children."
Relief crews from Basingstoke, Hightown, St Mary’s, Sutton Scotney, Droxford, Rushmoor and Odiham were on the scene overnight, taking over from the crews first to arrive.
Specialist vehicles from Romsey, Eastleigh and Fleet were also involved.
Fire Investigation officers attended the scene alongside police colleagues to ascertain the cause.
Crews returned to their stations shortly before 6am.
One crew will return to the scene on Tuesday morning to complete a reinspection and to conduct community fire safety visits.
