A TEST Valley pub which was previously the Advertiser's Pub of the Month for May has received a top food hygiene rating.
The George Inn, Middle Wallop, has been certified as 'very good', and deemed to have 'good' hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.
The latest inspection took place on Wednesday, June 7.
Previously, the pub was given a one-star rating, major improvement was found to be necessary in the management of food safety.
Following its reinspection, landlord Mark Routledge told the Advertiser that this was due to "issues surrounding the vac pack machine, including paperwork that wasn't correct".

Mark said that these issues have been resolved completely.
He continued: "We've had our re-inspection this week, and are very happy with the new rating, all issues have been sorted.
"Anyone is welcome to come in and look around our kitchen and facilities, we're more than welcome to show our customers around."
Inspections are conducted by the Food Standards Agency and ratings are given from zero, meaning urgent improvement is required, to five, which means that hygiene standards are very good.
