A MAJOR tea producer in Andover has planted a tree as part of its celebrations to commemorate the late Queen.
Twinings, which is based in Walworth Business Park, has a sports and social club called Socialitea, as part of celebrations to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in June 2022, a tree was to be due to be planted in the Picket Twenty sports field on behalf of the club.
However, the tree wasn't planted until earlier this year due to the timing of the planting season beginning and the availability of the right tree.
On Friday, June 2, Twinings held a ceremony to formally dedicate the tree, exactly 70 years since the late Queen’s Coronation.
