Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there may be delays to the train or bus services with sudden flooding or spray leading to difficult driving conditions.
Some areas may be affected by downpours while other parts of the region will be largely dry.
Rising temperatures have led to the increased risk of thunder and showers and a plume of warm, humid air will influence the weather for the rest of the weekend.
