FOLLOWING a successful series of historic lectures at the Army Flying Museum the venue has secured sponsorship for the next series of interesting talks.

Landmarc Support Services has bid to help the museum in Middle Wallop by sponsoring the 2023-2024 lecture series.

The sponsorship from Landmarc lends its support to the informative and educational presentations spanning the history of British military aviation. The lectures, watched by audiences around the country, have proved to be a popular part of the museum’s event programme. 

Technology and expertise supplied by Landmarc have enabled the museum to stream the lectures online with live Q&A sessions at the end of each presentation.

Recent lectures have seen best-selling author Liz McConaghy present to one of the biggest audiences of the year with her lecture Chinook Crew Chick and Battlefield Guides Mike Peters and Julian Whippy also take to the stage.

In partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), Landmarc provides the support services that enable Armed Forces from around the world to prepare for frontline military operations across the UK Defence Training Estate, which includes the neighbouring Salisbury Plain Training Area.

The next lecture on Thursday, July 20 sees Paul Beaver, trustee of the Army Flying Museum, present his latest book Winkle which tells the story of Battle of Britain hero Winkle Brown.
