A PUB in Micheldever is re-opening under a new landlord after the previous owners were overwhelmed by challenges caused by Covid and the cost-of-living crisis.
Following a two-month closure, the Half Moon and Spread Eagle will open again this week.
Matt Etheridge, current landlord of The Cricketers Inn in Longparish, has taken over the Micheldever pub, launching a new Facebook page and advertising full and part-time positions for a front-of-house manager, chefs, kitchen staff, waitresses and waiters and bar staff with live-in options.

The pub’s future was uncertain when former owners Paula and Andy closed the venue with immediate effect on May 10 due to the “uncontrollable” cost of living, but Mr Etheridge was quick to jump in with the re-opening announced just weeks later.
The Half Moon and Spread Eagle will be open from Wednesday, July 5, with full service running from Thursday, July 6, and a formal launch starting at 6pm on Friday, July 7.
