THE much-anticipated Pride of Andover Awards, which celebrates the unsung heroes of the community, has revealed Acroud Media as the sponsor of the Sports Award for this year's ceremony.
Acroud Media owner Gary Gillies, who is from Andover and has a passion for sports in Andover, expressed his delight at supporting the Sports Award category.
Gary said: "I have been actively involved in sports within the local area for many years, and Acroud Media works with a variety of sports including horse racing, boxing, and football. We have supported both local Andover teams as well as national teams, and we take great pleasure in seeing the progress of people in our local community.

"It means a great deal to be part of the process of recognising these inspirational individuals and teams in the local area. It's fantastic that they have the opportunity to highlight all the work they have done. A lot of people do impressive, inspirational work in Andover that goes largely unrecognised, so it's great to be part of an occasion that acknowledges their achievements throughout the year."
As the excitement builds up for the Pride of Andover Awards, Gary's message to the community is clear.
He contined: "Start nominating. If someone has inspired you, no matter how small the gesture, get them nominated - it's sometimes the little things that help to push them along and set them on their journey, and they could end up winning a Pride of Andover Award."
Gary's son, Aiden, was a runner-up in the sports award category two years ago.
