THE stage is set for a culinary showdown as 14 cafes from Basingstoke, Andover, and neighbouring areas have clinched their spots in the finals of this year's eagerly awaited Cafe of the Year contest, organised by the Basingstoke Gazette and the Andover Advertiser.
Among the finalists, an impressive nine cafes hail from Basingstoke, with one each from Tadley and Hook, and a triumphant trio from Andover.
Chosen from an array of contenders, these cafes have made it to the final based on nominations submitted by loyal readers.

Tadley's Little Roses Coffee Shop was voted as the winner of the Cafe of the Year contest last year.
The anticipation now peaks as residents are called upon to make their voices heard by casting their votes for the ultimate winner.
