SEE a year's worth of work from a textile artist's adventure down a country lane at an upcoming exhibition.
Samantha Boot, based in King's Somborne, hand stitched textile art pieces and undertook a new project following a cash boost.
In June 2022 she was awarded Develop Your Creative Practice funding from Arts Council England to pursue a year of self-directed artistic residency along Garlick Lane, a track leading through the Hoplands Estate in Hampshire.

The stories, history, flora and fauna of this area in the Test Valley inspired Samantha to create a series of wall-hung and free-standing textile pieces.
Natural dyes and earth pigments were collected along the lane to develop a 'palette of place' which Samantha said makes her artwork unique.
Her work will be displayed at the 'On Garlick Lane' exhibition in St Mary's Church, Ashley, which is near Garlick Lane.
The exhibition will be on show from Thursday, August 24, until Saturday, August 26, from 10am until 4pm.
