A DISQUALIFIED driver who was caught behind the wheel while over the drink-drive limit has been given a lengthy ban.
Lachlan Grace was stopped on Sarson Lane, in Andover, on June 11, while above the alcohol limit. It was found that he had 76 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
At the time the 26-year-old was banned from holding or obtaining a driving licence.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, Grace, of Durrington, near Salisbury, pleaded guilty to both offences.
Magistrates ordered him to complete 160 hours of unpaid work and disqualified him from driving for 36 months.
Grace was also ordered to abstain from alcohol for 90 days and complete 10 rehabilitation days.
Court costs of £85 were ordered.
