This creative haven, known as CAS Community, was made possible through public funding from Arts Council England, reflecting the growing emphasis on fostering artistic expression and community engagement.
CAS Community is set to serve as a dynamic creative hub, offering residents opportunities for self-expression and artistic growth, while also providing a platform for local artists and creatives to showcase their talents.
Visitors to CAS Community can immerse themselves in a diverse range of creative activities suitable for all ages, including printing, drawing, and weaving.
Executive director at CAS, Susanne Hasselmann, expressed her gratitude to the dedicated team behind the transformation of the former travel agency unit into a vibrant arts space.
She said: "Our courses include Wellbeing Wednesday, designed for adults facing disability, mental health challenges, or recent bereavement. We aim to support those who may be feeling isolated or down. The six-week course focuses on connecting with nature, and participants have the opportunity to continue with Wednesday afternoon sessions.
"On Thursdays and Fridays, we offer one-hour sessions and kids' afternoon clubs. Our courses are budget-friendly, relying mainly on donations and fundraising efforts."

Liz Hammond, the creative communities programme lead at CAS, will be at the forefront of guiding participants through the courses offered at the community space.
CAS has ambitious plans for the future, including a partnership with Andover College for a national Saturday club.
This initiative aims to provide a creative outlet for young people passionate about art who may be grappling with issues such as depression or autism.
The newly opened space will also connect with CAS's gallery, St Mary's Chapel, through its learning and engagement programme, offering a contemporary art experience that integrates seamlessly with the local community.
