AN INSURANCE brokerage has officially revealed its new name in a company-wide rebrand.
A-Plan Insurance has joined the global insurance group Howden, a British business founded by David Howden and two of his friends in London in 1994, and has changed its name.
Since its launch, Howden has grown to be one of the UK’s largest independent insurance brokers, with offices all over the world.
The rebrand marks the next chapter for the branch, with over 100 of its counterparts on high streets across the country after joining the Howden Group two years ago.

The new name was unveiled on Monday, September 2 with A-Plan chief executive Kelly Ogley in attendance for the rebrand in Bridge Street.
Branch manager at Howden Andover, Mark Bird, said: “We’re so excited to mark this new chapter with our new name, and new look and feel of our branch. That’s why we’re hosting our own launch events during October, open to all in our community to attend.
"In fact, all of our branches up and down the country are running a total of 216 celebrations, from networking events to ‘pet pawtraits’ and family fun days. There is plenty for everyone to get involved with.
"We’re still a local insurance broker, focused on helping our clients get the right advice, great value and dedicated, friendly support when needed on their home, motor and business insurance.
“Our upcoming events are our way of saying thank you to our clients and our community and answer any questions you may have about our new name and upcoming community initiatives. We would love to see you in branch, to thank our community for their support, introduce you to our new name and new brand, and celebrate this new chapter with you.

“It’s the same great people, and the same great service, now with a brand-new name and look in the branch, that’s fit for the future. We look forward to looking after you for many years to come as Howden.”
A-Plan chief executive, Ms Ogley, said: "A-Plan was established 60 years ago and has always prided itself on great customer interaction, and helping local communities. We were acquired by Howden a few years ago and have been waiting for the right time to take the name and rebrand.
"From October 1 we have created the biggest distributor network in the UK, while customers can expect to benefit from Howden in their respective local areas. As Mark said, the only thing that is changing is the name on the door, as we are all about being in and on the high street, and a visible presence for the community.
"That has been core to A-Plans values over the last 60 years, and customers can still expect the same, great friendly team and exceptional service that we provide."
