A NEW ear clinic has opened in Andover - helping patients with everything ear-related from wax to dead skin, infections, hearing loss, ear pressure and more.
EarLab has expanded its business with its third clinic, which opened at Westmarch Business Centre, close to Tesco Extra, last month.
It specialises in ear wax removal using micro-suction, offering a complete ear wax removal service for £85.
Founded in 2022, EarLab’s clinical team is led by a consultant ENT surgeon and their practitioners are all experienced registered nurses with an NHS background.
EarLab Andover becomes the third EarLab clinic following the success of its Haslemere and Guildford clinics.
The founders Tim Galvin and David Walker have come together from both sides of the ear care business.
After recovering from a serious illness, Tim suffered from challenging ear symptoms, and David is an experienced ENT surgeon.
Together they appreciated the difficulties patients faced accessing high-quality ear care, at a time when NHS services are stretched and ear clearance is no longer offered in local health centres.
David said: "Healthcare can seem very distant and inaccessible for patients since COVID. GPs are unable to see the vast quantity of patients in person and in a timely manner. High-quality alternative providers such as EarLab are needed to keep patients safe and provide health services close to home.
“We only set up EarLab clinics where we have local and experienced nurses to treat our patients. In Claire, Andover EarLab patients have a brilliant nurse, who already treats hundreds of hospital patients a year, to look after their ears."
Tim and David say they are passionate about offering the highest quality service to patients.
Also in the Andover team is Claire Finn, an experienced aural care nurse in the NHS, who has years of ear care experience in practice nursing.
