A COMMUNITY of cadets, students and local figures came together for a poignant Remembrance Day event.
The service at The Wellington Academy, near Ludgershall, began with the cadets parading through the foyer, proudly showcasing the British flag and their own Combined Cadets Force flag.
The ceremony, on Saturday, November 11, was led by Reverend Tim Laundon, leading the school in prayer with visitors, members of the armed forces, local councillors, local mayors, trust staff and school staff placing poppies in respect.

Students from the Wellington Primary Academies joined the service by sharing poems and readings.
Rob Wood, Headteacher at The Wellington Academy said: “It was a wistful moment for us as a school, with over half of our students coming from military families, it was important for us to allow our students time away from lessons to mark and pay respects for Remembrance Day.
“A massive thank you to all of our cadets making us proud with a dutiful and compelling Remembrance service, along with all the staff and students who made this possible. We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming support and turnout from our visitors.”
