RESIDENTS in Andover will experience changes to their bin collection dates over the festive season.
The dates will change for one week, with bin collections moved one day later with no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.
This means residents who usually have their waste collected on a Monday, will have it collected on a Tuesday.
Bin collections are expected to return to normal from January 8, 2024.
Garden waste collections will also be suspended during the festive period, with no collections taking place between Monday, December 18 and Saturday, December 30.
Collections of garden waste will also be a day later than usual during the week commencing January 1.
During the Christmas and New Year period only, Test Valley Borough Council will collect extra waste left in bags beside residents' black bins.
The council will always collect extra recycling if it is placed in a cardboard box next to your brown bin.
Wrapping paper cannot be recycled unless it is brown paper, so must be placed in your rubbish bin.
