FOLLOWING on from the success of last year's pantomime Andover College’s performing arts department will showcase their talents at this year’s performance of Aladdin.
The show will be performed at The Lights on Tuesday, December 12 and Wednesday, December 13 at 7pm.
State management lecturer, drama and music technician Dan Huckle said: “This is my first time directing the annual panto here at Andover College and it has been an absolute pleasure!
"As someone who has professionally performed and still currently working within the production industry, I have been able to combine my love of both aspects with the support of the students and my fellow members of staff.

"The tradition of doing pantomimes at Andover College originated when I was a student here where I performed as the Sherriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood and the Babes of the Wood. I have always loved either watching, acting or being a part of a pantomime so it is my privilege to be able to direct our 2023 panto of Aladdin.
"So far, this experience has been a wonderful process and worth being able to work so creatively with all, actors, production and dance students."
The annual pantomime is an event all those at the college look forward to each year. Students have been intensely rehearsing for the performance which brings many of the college’s departments together to work on the show.
The performing arts, music and dance students have been working together on various parts of the performance and stage management students have overseen the set design, lighting and sound for each of the shows.
Dan continued: "To watch all the students, grow to the professional level that they are at today is an amazing opportunity in our 1803 theatre and performing in The Lights! We hope you enjoy our production and look forward to our Musical in May."
