SHOPS in Andover town centre will be spreading Christmas cheer as they take part in a Christmas window competition.

The competition has been organised by InAndover from the Andover Business Improvement District (BID).

The Christmas-spirited contest aims to spread joy and festive cheer throughout the town, engaging the community in a visually captivating celebration of the season.

She said: "The Andover Christmas Shop Window Competition is a wonderful opportunity for our local businesses to showcase their holiday spirit and connect with the community. We are thrilled to see the town centre come alive with festive decorations, bringing joy to residents and visitors alike."

Across the town centre, participating shops have transformed their windows into enchanting displays that capture the spirit of Christmas. The competition is open to the public, inviting everyone to explore the town centre and cast their votes for their favourite display.

Katie Tricker, the competition coordinator, shared insights into the efforts businesses put into their displays.

She added: "It's heart-warming to witness the dedication and creativity that each participating shop has poured into their window designs. The competition not only adds a touch of magic to our town but also allows businesses to connect with their customers uniquely and festively."

The grand prize for the winning shop is £150, which the winning business will donate to the charity of their choice.

To participate in the voting process, members of the public can visit inandover.co.uk, where they vote for their favourite shop window. Voting will run until Thursday, December, 21.
