Following the incident, a reporter from the Advertiser visited Ludgershall Recreation Ground on Thursday, December 7 to inspect the damage to the area.
Apparent fire damage seemed to affect one of the bins between the grounds skate park, and children's play park.
The bin looked like it had been filled with plastic, before being lit, with the plastic burning around the bin opening.
Residents in the area reported several instances where fires had been lit by 'youngsters' in the recreation ground, namely in the bin, in the skate park, and on the far side of the green, where a number of trees were reportedly cut down following a fire.
