CREWS from across Hampshire and Wiltshire were called to a blaze at a farm in Penton Mewsey overnight.
More than 10 emergency calls alerted Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service to the fire shortly after 2am.
Several commercial units, containing various vehicles, chemicals and cylinders, were involved in the fire. The majority of the units on the farm were destroyed in the blaze.
Firefighters from Andover, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, St Mary’s, Basingstoke, Overton and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were joined by support vehicles from Eastleigh and Rushmoor, including water carriers as well as the aerial ladder platform.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Teams have been using jets, hose reels and compressed air foam solution to dowse the flames and extinguish the fire.
"The incident has now been scaled down with relief crews from Fareham, Whitchurch, Alton and Fordingbridge attending to take over from the firefighters who were first on the scene.”
The spokesperson said the stop message came in shortly before midday, but crews remain on the scene damping down.
