ANDOVER has been nominated as one of the 'most depressing' places to live in the UK.
Residents in the UK are being asked to nominate the areas they live as the most 'depressing' in Britain.
The poll, which is run by town reviews site ilivehere.co.uk, has been scouring the UK looking for the most depressing place to live, with more than 150 British towns and cities currently nominated.

The poll has become something of an annual tradition but has changed this year, with the emphasis on finding the 'most depressing' place to live, as opposed to the 'worst place' to live, in the UK.
So far the list includes more than 150 towns and cities, with an option also included to add a town that has not previously been mentioned.
Towns and cities across the UK, including numerous places in Hampshire, have made the list including Andover, Basingstoke, Aldershot, Portsmouth and Eastleigh.
Once nominations close, the 'most depressing' town or city will be revealed.

A statement from iLiveHere said: “Bland, boring, soul destroying mediocrity with a gaping cultural void. This is what our new poll is about.
"This year we are ditching the usual suspects to focus on those towns throughout this septic isle that give you an almost-terminal case of ennui. The towns where you just exist rather than live.”
