A ROAD in Andover was closed due to the amount of standing water on the road despite an estimated 100,000 litres of water already being removed.
Hampshire Drivers, a Facebook group providing travel updates, shared the news that Northern Avenue was closed on Facebook on Tuesday, January 9.
It comes after Andover residents woke up to more floods after heavy rain hit the area on Friday, January 5.

An Advertiser reporter took a photo of the road flooded as cars struggled to pass through near to the Folly Roundabout on Friday, January 5.
Hampshire County Council commented on the Facebook post: "Our highways colleagues are continuing to work on improving the situation and the road remains closed.
"The jetting crew removed an estimated 100,000 litres of water from the road last night but unfortunately this didn't solve the situation."
A county council spokesperson has since confirmed the road has reopened.
They said: “Northern Avenue in Andover has now reopened following work by our Highways team to clear a blocked pipe under the road, caused by the impact of Storm Henk.
”The decision was taken to close the road overnight due to the risk of ice forming on the road surface and to allow the clearance work to take place safely.”
