MOVIE lovers are being encouraged to come along to the events organised by Andover's very-own film club this year.
Andover Film Club will begin the second half of its 23/24 season with Chevalier on Monday, February 12 at 8pm at the Odeon in Andover.
The film adapts the true story of the 18th-century Black virtuoso Joseph Bologne, now totally unknown and whose story had been forgotten.
The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner he rose to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, and embarked on a love affair and subsequently falling out with Marie Antoinette.
