POLICE carried out a warrant in Andover as part of their commitment to combat Class A drugs supply in the town.
The Priority Crime Team, with support from other units in the force, including officers from Neighbourhood Enforcement Teams and Neighbourhood Policing Teams, carried out a warrant around London Road and Harvey Place on Thursday, January 25.
The police are appealing for the public’s help in cracking down on drug crimes in the area.

Test Valley Cops posted on Facebook: “There were quite a few officers at the scene, so we’d like to thank the local community for their patience while we carried out the warrant.
“We say this often, but please keep reporting any information you have on drugs supply. You may not see a police deployment immediately, but we use very bit of detail to build up a bigger picture, which can lead to action like the warrant detailed above.

“There is a lot of vulnerability associated with the drugs trade, and it’s no secret that some people are often exploited and coerced into dealing drugs. If you know of someone who has started behaving differently lately, going missing or becoming more withdrawn, associating with the wrong people, or has started wearing expensive clothes or jewellery then it’s possible they are being groomed and exploited.
“Report this information to us, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
A spokesman for Hampshire Police confirmed that no arrests were made and no drugs were found. Officers just wanted to let locals know why they were in the area.
