AN AWARD-winning pub that closed its doors for good in August 2023 because of ‘rising costs and other unforeseen circumstances’ is still looking for a new owner.
The Crown Inn in Upton, approximately six miles north of Andover, is available to buy for nil premium lease.
A nil premium lease means the buyer does not make a payment for the goodwill or existing business a pub has built up since it has been closed. This could be because it has been closed for a period of time.
The pub is a country freehouse in Upton, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The pub boasts a character bar and dining rooms, along with a four-bedroom owners’ accommodation.
It has a trade garden, car park and a private garden.
The asking price will be available on request.
In June 2023, The Crown Inn was recognised in the Michelin Guide, which is known for naming the best dining experiences promising great food, drink and ambiance.
It also made it into 2023’s final round of Trencherman's Awards - the most highly coveted scheme rewarding the best chefs, food, and guest experience in the area and was a finalist in the Muddy Stilettos award scheme.
