A REPAIR café in Overton had a special visit the MP for North West Hampshire who has praised the teams work.
On Saturday, February 3, MO Kit Malthouse dropped into the Overton Repair and Reuse Café at the Community Centre.
People can bring broken items - electrical appliances, bikes, china, toys, jewellery, furniture – and an expert volunteer will do their very best to fix it.
A gang of villagers has had the brilliant idea to set up a monthly repair café in the community centre.

Kit said :“Nothing phased them, from oven, bike and jewellery repairs to darning and stitching and knife sharpening. They are part of the @repair_and_reuse movement encouraging us to do what it says on the tin, and save billions in waste.
"All strength to their arm I say, and thanks to Teresa Reynolds for inviting me. Inspired by their example, I repaired our dishwasher the next day. A ring pull stuck in the impeller was the culprit.”
